Cooking the snow peas on a slow heat for a short time keeps them nice and crispy.  It is quick and easy to make and will go well with many types of dishes.  To string the snow peas, hold the top of a snow pea and pull downward.  If the string isn’t totally removed pull on the opposite end or just leave as is.

Ingredients

  • 40 snow peas – washed, stringed
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Prepare snow peas.
  2. In a medium pot add the snow peas and water.  Bring the water to boil then lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes covered.
  3. Discard any water and place snow peas on serving dish.
  4. Add oil, seeds and mix lightly.  Serve.
