Mind Experience

  • The story of Rocky Balboa comes from as much as inspiration of the real life journey of Sylvester Stallone himself. In the early 1970’s, Sylvester Stallone was an unknown actor trying to make it, he had been in minor roles with success but was still without means. He even sold his dog to make ends meet. He received inspiration for the movie after watching Muhammad Ali fight Chuck Wepner. What he saw was that a man stood up to the greatest fighter who ever lived. And for one brief moment Chuck had his moment of magnificence. Stallone started writing and in 3 days had the script finished. The script was welcomed but not him as the actor. Stallone held to his conviction of being the star to the role and the rest is history. Stallone had many knock backs and yet he took a chance on himself despite it all. It didn’t come easy but he found a way, his way. What is yours?

To think about

  • Rocky Balboa: You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!
