Here Comes the Sun is a song written by George Harrison and appears on the Beatles Abbey Road album.  George Harrison reportedly after feeling frustrated with legal obligations had taken a break to visit Eric Clapton at his house where he wrote this song.   John Lennon was not included in the recording of this song as he was recovering from an accident.

What we like

  • The song speaks of a long cold lonely winter and how the sun is coming to make it alright.  This can be taken literally on the change of the seasons.  What we like is that you can also apply this to life itself.  You can always look forward to a change of a new day with the coming of the warm sun

Mind experience

  • The Voyager program launched two unmanned space missions, the probes Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 which were to study the planetary system but continued on.  Part of the program was to also place in the probes The Voyager Golden Record.  This record had sounds and images of representations of life on earth.  This was in the endeavour to communicate to advance extra-terrestrial life.  Here Comes the Sun was chosen to be one of the recordings however did not make it due to legal complications

To think about

  • Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been clear
