The intouchables is inspired by a true story where two men from contrasting backgrounds come together to form an unlikely friendship.  This movie shows that growth of the human soul is limitless regardless of circumstances.  The movie progresses through steps of acceptance, understanding, through to friendship and love. Their time together leads to the discovery of quality of life for both of their lives.

Soul Stars – François Cluzet, Omar Sy

What we like

  • The movie is set for the most part in Paris France.  You see the familiar Paris and parts that you don’t usually see
  • The person with what seemed to be the least experience turned out to be the best person for the job
  • How you never know quite where life will take you and how you can impact on peoples lives

Soul experience

  • We often make friends or company with people that share common interests, have similar backgrounds.  Philippe had the courage to trust someone that was very different from himself and seeing through the cover took a chance

To reflect on

  • Antoine: These street guys have no pity.
    Philippe: That’s what I want…no pity.
