The humble green bean is lightly flavoured with this simple dressing. Steaming for 7 minutes or so allows for the bean to still maintain its crispiness. A simple way to put a bit of green on your plate. This dish serves well warm or cool. You can also cool it right down in the fridge for warm days.
Ingredients
- 40 green beans – washed, topped, tailed, stringed
- 1 garlic – peeled, rinsed, crushed
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Directions
- Prepare vegetables.
- In a steamer, boil water in base pot. Place beans in steamer tray on top of pot cover.
- Steam beans on low to medium heat for 7 minutes.
- In a measuring cup mix garlic, olive oil and vinegar to combine.
- Arrange beans on a serving plate.
- Drizzle dressing over beans. Serve.
